2019-08-18: Jack Wood Memorial Handicap

Created: 08 August 2019 Last Updated: 08 August 2019

The Jack Wood Memorial Handicap celebrates the life of Coburg Cycling Club Cycling Jack Wood who lost his life after a battle with mental illness .

We are very excited that Coburg Cycling Club has made a massive effort this year to secure this new course in Arthurs Creek close to Melbourne with traffic management plans to allow riders right of way.  This is a great chance to ride out to the start with friends on an early Sunday morning in preparation.  At only 42 kilometres, you can expect a very intense race from the start on this hard course, including the Mine Rd climb.

The club has arranged a number of activities including coffee cart and marshaled rides to the start line.  As it is a new course, we are limiting entry numbers so get in early if you want to race.
