Dear Northern Combine Club members , Our last meeting for the year and AGM was held on the 16th of November. Gino Carmelli is stepping down as President to concentrate on duties @ CSV board level. Mark Ukotic is moving into the President's roll after a year as Secretary. Luke McDonough meanwhile will be replacing Mark as Secretary. Andrew Gannon will be staying on as Treasurer. We thank Gino, Mark, Andrew and Luke for their valuable contribution in the past and continued support. Sadly Peter Wykes has decided to wind back his significant involvement with the Combine. Peter has supported us for many years - most recently in his formal roll as Handicapper. Nathan Fraser has agreed to take up this extremely important roll and Peter has kindly offered to support Nathan. Peter, his wife Rhonda and Hugh Shultz have given us a significant amount of support over many years and in particular they have been critical to the running of our growing and successful road programme over the past 3 years. Without them many of our races simply would not have been run. On behalf of all the riders and combine executive, we thank them wholeheartedly. Tom Connolly as Volunteer Coordinator has worked hard to put in place/develop a system which allows us to hold the race program through the support of riders as volunteers. Tom has also decided to take a break from that roll. We are looking for riders from our clubs to step up and support the continued success of the Northern Combine road program into 2010.
Volunteer Co-ordinator - continue Tom's work in organising the vols roster
Needless to say the continued support of those that run Northern Combine racing is critical to the continued success and we definitely need more help in order to make it happen in 2010. Please contact your Club delegate if you feel you have something to offer or wish further information and details on any of the rolls. Finally, we wish you the compliments of the Festive Season and a safe and successful 2010.
Regards,
Northern Combine Committee |
