The Melbourne University team represents the pinnacle of competitive cycling at the University level. We work closely with the Melbourne University Cycling Club as well as Melbourne University Sport to ensure the best cycling talent can be located, developed and fine-tuned for a competitive edge on race day.
Maintaining an open minded team willing to learn and improve forms a fundamental part of the Melbourne University/Fondriest cycling team ethos. We can distinguish ourselves from other cycling teams in Australia through the fact that we emphasize the integration of higher education in conjunction with elite sport, with each member attending a university in Melbourne or having graduated from university.
We are the first cycling team in Victoria to uphold such high academic standards in conjunction with elite sporting competition and we feel this brings an atypical element to the team which sets us apart from the rest.
