The Northern Combine supports equal opportunities for women to participate and race in events.  This is achieved through the efforts of the Women's Coordinator and each club's commitment, as well as the Combine committee as a whole.  We welcome your thoughts and assistance on how this can be improved.  Please contact the women's coordinators Alison and Corinn women@northerncombinecycling.org

Have you joined the SheRace Facebook page? It's a great site for keeping up to date on all things women's cycle racing in Victoria, a place to ask questions and feel part of the community. Go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/sherace

Women's Series 2022 - bigger and better than before!

Thanks to our sponsor MAAP

We want to encourage more women to race the Combine, and as an incentive we are  running a simple points-based award series, rewarding both results and participation. For the first time the series encompasses ALL grades and ALL races on the calendar. The riders with the top 3 accumulated points at the end of the season will win prizes (actual prizes tbc).

Here is how it works:

start a race = 1 point, plus...

Top 3 placing for all scratch races (1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd = 3 pts)

Top 3 placings for each category in the ITT (1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd = 3 pts)

Top 8 female placings in handicaps (1st = 5 pts, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd to 8th = 3 pts)

Top 3 on aggregate points at end of last race = series winners.

Extra prizes for riders who compete in all races.

Presentations to be made at the end of the final race of the year (Sep Hawthorn Race, Sth Gisborne)

Stay tuned for updates on this website and the SheRace Facebook page.
