2010 ITT Champs Cancelled |

The 2010 ITT Championships up at Newham has been cancelled this morning. The commissaires decided once arriving and inspecting the course that the rain and wind has created unsafe conditions to race on. Sections of the road are under heavy flows of water.
The Northern Combine apologises to all riders who have entered. This time of year unfortunately has unpredictable weather that can create unsafe riding conditions. The Combine commissaires take the job of cancelling a race very serious which made the decision all the more difficult.
The Committee will be discussing the possibility of rescheduling the 2010 ITT Championships for another date.

We can take more entries on day for riders if you have friends but they are not eligible for hcap Distance has been shortened due to safety concerns to 24 k. Hcap times have been reduced proportionally We are unable to stop cars on course so at turnaround/corner red flag=stop. I expect minimal traffic We will probably be under scrutiny by local police please observe all laws and etiquette. Alf walker is crook so we could really use another timekeeper if anyone is available-please let me know. An electronic timing system is being developed for our use but we are using pen and paper for this event. (The trip from Melb is at least 1 hour) have a great ride
